How to apply ?
To apply for the Temporary Pathway to Permanent Residence Open work permit, the only way to do so is through the internet. You will not be able to apply at a port of entry. If you are unable to apply online due to a disability or a poor internet connection, IRCC also accepts paper applications.
Step 1: Gather all of your materials. You’ll need a scanner or a camera to apply online. To pay for the feeds, you’ll also need your debit or credit card.
Step 2: Pay your fees. On the government’s website, you must pay the $155 fee for a work permit extension. You must pay the $100 open work permit holder fee before applying online because you are exempt.
Step 3: Access your IRCC account. To begin applying, you must first create an account with the IRCC. This account will allow you to submit your application forms and track your progress.
Step 4: Obtain a document checklist After you’ve created your account, you’ll need to answer a few questions to get a personalized document checklist. Say you’d like to work for more than six months on a temporary basis. When asked, “What is your current immigration status in Canada?” both workers and students must select “worker.”
This is a temporary measure for students while the IRCC is updating. Choose “I am applying for an open work permit under an active public policy or pilot program announced by IRCC” when asked which scenario applies to you. Then you’ll be asked, “Is there a charge for this application?” Despite the fact that your $155 fee has already been paid, You are not required to pay the fee for open work permit holders.
Step 5: Complete the forms. Once you have your document checklist, the IRCC‘s instruction guide will assist you in filling out the forms.
Step 6: Make sure you’ve got the right documents. Such as a copy of your fees receipt, proof that you worked legally when you applied (like a work permit), proof of language test result, copy of your passport, a digital photo, and a Family Information Form are all required documents for principal applicants.
Following the application for Temporary Pathway to Permanent Residence Open work permit,
After you submit your application, it will be reviewed by an immigration officer. They’ll look into your company’s compliance history to ensure they’re not ineligible. You must also demonstrate that you are eligible for the work permit.
They will return your application without processing it if they find it to be incomplete. They may also request additional information from you.
